Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina made her debut with humorous hip-hop tracks that addressed sexuality and identity with a boldly comedic perspective before increasing her appeal to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came from the trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop lessons began when she was just a teenager. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism and women's studies at college, even doing Mandarin in Beijing for a short time. Her focus was not on music until after she graduated. Following her viral success on the Internet and her own track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album featured other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$1. It was also included in Awkwafina's NYC travel guide published in 2015. She decided to pursue acting as a profession after completing her first two initiatives, as a writer and musician. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she has also appeared in films such as Neighbors 2. Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored numerous major roles like Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by"In Fina We Trust in June of the same year.
