Kellie Martin is an American TV and film actress most well-known for her performances in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the period drama series 'Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama 'ER'. She is also known for being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin was born to a department store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her professional career as an actress at age seven, when her aunt who worked as an nanny for actor Michael Landon's children assisted Martin get a part in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". Following her graduation of Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness and landed roles on the small screen and big. Apart from being an actor, Martin is also a talented photographer and dancer. As a mother to two kids, she's been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. She has been spreading the word about this disease ever since her younger sister died in the age of 19.
